DISCLAIMER: I have never seen or heard Lana Del Rey perform, either recorded or live.

MY QUESTION: Why does everyone seem to hate her for first being “Lizzy Grant” and then scrapping it for an outrageous stage presence called “Lana Del Rey”? I’m pretty sure that’s been the entire career of “Stefani Germanotta” aka “Lada Gaga.” The only difference I can see is that hipsters were tricked into liking Lana Del Rey, and are now upset about that.

THE POINT OF THIS POST: Please somebody explain this phenomenon to me?

You answered your own question…Lady Gaga manufactured her own image, while...a studio...
  3. driftingdiscourse said: Because her image is so goddamn produced. It’s just fake. Where Gaga at least has a positive image, Rey has this bullshit persona backed up by uninteresting music.
