I’d like to quickly clear up some confusion that a lot of people seem to have about how rocks in space are named.

Meteoroid:

Bigger meteoroid:

Asteroid:

Bigger asteroid:

Comet:

Meteor (not a rock, just a streak of light): 

Meteorite (meteoroid on Earth):

And, for good measure, a generous estimate of Pluto:
